patient participation group

The Practice would like to develop its small Patient Participation Group (PPG).

The focus could be to maintain and aid communication between the practice and its patients, or to increase patients’ understanding of the wider issues in the NHS and how they relate to local needs. In some other areas patients themselves have developed focus groups that may contribute to the commissioning decisions in the locality, or play a leading role in developing educational and self-help initiatives for patients.
